CITY CENTER DANCE STUDIO POLICIES & INFORMATION 2010-2011

General Information
We operate on a school calendar year, and follow most school holidays and closings.  Please see our studio calendar below for exact dates.  For any closings or cancellations due to inclement weather, go to www.citycenterdance.com or call the studio at 914-328-1881.  Private lessons for children and adults are available at $40 - ½ hour; $80 - an hour.  Schedule and teachers are subject to change without notice.  Studio policies are subject to changes and/or additions at any time.  Placement is at teacher’s discretion and not necessarily based on years of experience.  Teacher conferences are available by appointment.

Adult Classes
Adult classes are offered to those 16 years of age and up.  Class will only be held if 3 or more people are in attendance.  Please call for current fees and schedules: 914-328-1881.  When registering for adult classes, all fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.  Make-up classes may be taken for missed classes ONLY within the session that the class was missed.

Kids Classes
*Parents note: You are registering your children for a FULL SCHOOL YEAR of classes.  All fees are for full year tuition unless otherwise specified:
Registration fee: $25.00 per student (non-refundable)

3 classes/week $1910.00

5 classes/week $3183.00
6 classes/week $3819.00

REGISTRATION
All registration is done in-house at City Center Dance.  Call us at 914-328-1881 and we will be happy to help you.  Registration fees are non-refundable.  Registration requires a deposit of ½ tuition plus the registration fee.  All remaining balances must be paid in full by October 31, 2010.  Balances not paid on time will be charged late fees (see below).

LATE FEES
A Late Fee of $20.00 per month will be applied to your account for all late payments. Late payments are payments received after the last day of the month in which they are due – there is NO GRACE PERIOD.  Late fees are cumulative; if you are two months late on a payment you will have two months of late fees; unpaid late fees will result in suspension of classes for your child until all late fees are paid.  Late Fees will not be waived for any reason.

REFUNDS
Refunds are only applicable until 10/31/2010.  After that time NO REFUNDS will be given.  All refunds regardless of registration date will be charged a $25.00 processing fee and be pro-rated for any classes taken.  For students registering after 10/31/2010, the period for refunds is up to one month from the start date.  All refunds regardless of registration date will be charged a $25.00 processing fee and be pro-rated for any classes taken; after one month NO REFUNDS will be given.

DISCOUNTS
A 5% sibling discount is offered on tuition; the discount applies to all siblings.

MAKE-UP CLASSES
Classes missed/cancelled due to: absenteeism, inclement weather, unavoidable or unforeseen circumstances may be made up in another class at the teacher’s discretion.  No specific make-up class for cancelled class will be scheduled.

PERFORMANCES & COSTUME FEES
There will be a performance for all children’s classes (except creative movement), tentatively scheduled for May 18th– 22nd 2010 at Purchase College.  Ticket prices, costume fees, location and all other related details are to be announced.

DRESS CODE
City Center Dance strictly adheres to a dress code.  Please make note of what your child needs to wear for each class and make sure your child comes to each class prepared.  Those children who continually come to class unprepared will be asked to sit out until they come in proper dress code.
Ballet & Creative Movement Classes:
All ballet classes are required to wear pink tights, a black leotard, and pink ballet shoes. Hair must be worn in a bun. No baggy clothing or cover-ups will be allowed once class begins!  Creative movement children should wear pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and a leotard, skirt or tutu in any color of their choice – hair in a ponytail or bun.
All Other Classes:
Appropriate dance clothing of any color; i.e., tights, leotards, cami’s, tanks, leggings, jazz pants, unitards – NO T-SHIRTS, SWEATPANTS or SHORTS! Hair must be worn in a pony tail. No baggy clothing or cover-ups will be allowed once class begins.  Jazz classes require black jazz shoes, modern/lyrical classes either barefoot or modern sandals, hip hop classes require black dance sneakers, tap classes require flat black tap shoes.
